Privacy Policy

This policy describes the small amount of information associated with Lawndale Residents Directory. The reference points to public rolls and historical collections in Lawndale and California; it does not need an account and does not keep a private resident file.

Information Sent Through Forms

Names, phone numbers, and addresses entered into a search box are sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Lawndale Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you contact the operators, the message contains whatever details you choose to provide and is used to respond.

Routine Technical Logs

The hosting service may record an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. Those logs are used in aggregate to keep the pages working and understand broad traffic patterns. Basic cookies or related tools may support analytics or advertising measurement when such services are enabled.

How the Information Is Used

Information is used to operate the reference, troubleshoot faults, measure traffic, and improve the Lawndale pages. Visitor lists are not sold and individual profiles are not built from ordinary site use.

External Destinations

The directory links to the Los Angeles County Recorder, the Assessor Portal, California agencies, Lawndale Library, the California privacy portal, archives, and third-party search tools. Each destination sets its own privacy rules, so the policy of that provider controls what happens after a link is followed. Sponsored search results are supplied by a separate company.

Who Processes Technical Data

Hosting and support vendors may process server logs. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Information may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it; it is not otherwise shared as a visitor list.

Security and Retention

The pages use an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. There are no Lawndale Residents Directory accounts, passwords, or user profiles waiting to be exposed.

Visitors Under 18

The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. The operators do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information, contact the operators so it can be removed from the contact records.

California Privacy Choices

California’s Consumer Privacy Act, Civil Code section 1798.100 and following, as amended, provides covered consumers with rights that may include knowing, deleting, correcting, opting out of sale or sharing, limiting sensitive-information use, and receiving equal treatment. Because the reference keeps little direct data, a request generally means checking the contact mailbox and available technical logs.

Use the Contact page for a privacy request. A business complaint can be directed to the California Attorney General consumer complaint route, while suspected fraud can be reported through FTC ReportFraud. Government records held by California, Los Angeles County, or Lawndale are outside the operators’ control. A deed, court file, or public roll must be addressed to its custodian. California’s DROP service can address participating data brokers; its processing explanation gives the current program context, but broker deletion does not erase a government record.

Changes to This Policy

When the policy changes, the new version will be posted here. Continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
